OVERVIEW

In line with the vision of Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI) of a prosperous and peaceful modern Asia, the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP) aims to create intercultural opportunities for the next generation of leaders by providing scholarships for high-caliber students to study away from their home country or region at any of BXAI’s Partner Universities. By fostering communication, friendship, and mutual understanding amongst young Asians, the AFLSP seeks to bring up innovators, thought leaders, and influencers who are committed to promoting peace and regional collaboration in Asia and beyond.

The AFLSP Exchange Scholarship 

The AFLSP Exchange Scholarship awards scholarships to Japanese students from Keio University, Kyoto University, Kyushu University, Osaka University, The University of Tokyo and Waseda University each year to study abroad at one of BXAI’s Partner Universities in Beijing, Shanghai, or Hong Kong for one academic year. The scholarship offers each successful candidate up to US$12,500.

Who Should Apply?

  • Japanese students currently enrolled at one of BXAI’s exchange partner universities, i.e., Keio University, Kyoto University, Kyushu University, The University of Tokyo, or Waseda University, are eligible for the AFLSP Exchange Scholarship.

Other Requirements
  • Successful candidates who accept the scholarship award are required to participate in the BXAI Summer Program, as well as other required activities under the AFLSP as stipulated by the relevant Partner University and BXAI.
